About Ludociels

Ludociels pour tous is a social economy company based in Montreal which aims to promote digital inclusion. We are particularly interested in the accessibility and ergonomics of video games. We create and promote inclusive, participatory and collaborative digital cultural leisure, activities and facilities.

OUR MISSION

Facilitate access to video games so that everyone can play them, regardless of disability, age or mother tongue.

Make the general public, enthusiasts and enthusiasts as well as the video game industry aware of the importance of taking accessibility into account in the design of games and consoles.

Help IT professionals integrate good digital inclusiveness practices into their design of digital games and interfaces.

Ludociels' three pillars of action

Creation of ergonomic games

Since 2013,

we conceptualized,

created and uploaded

30 accessible games.

To facilitate access to games, we rate video games on our blog and YouTube channel, regularly update a list of accessible games, and participate in conferences and discussions with industry professionals.

In order to make our mission a reality, we work in development teams and offer courses and conferences in schools and universities in both Montreal and Paris.

COMMUNITY PROJECTS

We are committed to involving our community in the realization of our projects. To this end, we organize video game design and creation workshops in schools, libraries and even retirement homes in Montreal!

Our flagship projects in recent years:

  • Transgenerational Verdun, the story of Verdun (Montreal, Quebec) told by its residents through a documentary video game.

  • HSH-Go !, a collaborative multiplayer and multiplayer platform game produced in collaboration with the artist collective HSH Crew

Thomas gaudy

Thomas is a UX Designer and designer of video games catering to special social needs.

He teaches at Itescia school (Cergy, France) and at ISART Digital (Montreal, Canada).

Stephanie Akré

To facilitate access to video games and raise awareness of the importance of digital inclusivity, we review video games on our blog and YouTube channel, regularly update a list of accessible games, and participate in conferences and discussions with professionals in the industry.
